ラテン語ミサ参列の皆様へ
ラテン語ミサの司式にご招待をいただき、誠に有り難うございます。
本日私は出席できませんが、皆様にはラテン語ミサヘの参加と励行について
一言申し上げたいと思います。
ラテン語は長い間、典礼の用語であり、また教会の公式用語でもありました。
今もそれは変わっておりません。ラテン語は教会において禁止されたことは
一度もありません。グレゴリオ聖歌もまた、歴史のある崇高な祈りの一形態
であって、私たちの典礼を荘厳なものとし、喜びに満ちたものとするもので
あります。
従ってこれらは、大切に守るべき貴重な宝であって、教会の一致と確立され
た権威のためにも いつまでも尊重され、愛されていくべきものであります。
皆様の幸せをお祈りしますとともに、教皇様と教会のためにもお祈り下さい。

MESSAGE FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE LATIN MASS
Thank you very much for inviting me to participate in celebrating
the Latin Mass. Although I cannot attend today I would like to
express a few words of encouragement to you.
Latin has been the language of the Liturgy and the official language of the Church for many，many years. This continues to be true today. Latin has never been forbidden in the Church. Gregorian chant too is an historical form of sublime prayer that makes our Liturgy solemn and filled with joy.
Therefore these are precious treasures that，for the sake of the unity and authority of the Church，must al ways be repected and loved.
l wjll pray for your happiness. In turn l ask you to pray for the Pope and the Church.
