Maruyama Vaccine: How to obtain it

Why Maruyama Vaccine is believed to be NOT effective?

In November 1976, ZERIA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. made application to the Ministry of Health and Welfare (current Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) to acquire production approval of Maruyama Vaccine. There was no incomplete data, however, the deliberation on Maruyama Vaccine had been delayed for a long time. Then, the change in the criteria of deliberation had been made, and it was decided to implement judgment on effectiveness of prolonging life by clinical comparison test.

Late Dr. Chisato Maruyama was saying that "By using chemical anticancer drug, which reduces immunity effect, and Maruyama Vaccine, which increases immunity effect (defense function of living body), at the same time adds up to Zero effect".

In spite of Dr. Maruyama's opinion, the method of clinical comparison was NOT to compare "Maruyama Vaccine" vs. "chemical drug", BUT to compare "Maruyama Vaccine plus chemical drug" vs. "chemical drug".

The effect of using "Maruyama Vaccine plus chemical drug" was clearly superior to "chemical drug" in the comparison tests. But, the Survey Committee of Anti Malignant Tumor did not accept the data showing superior data of "Maruyama Vaccine plus chemical drug" by saying that they had doubt on the test method.

From the data only accepted by the survey committee, the percentage of survivors after 540 days was 0% for the patients treated by "chemical drug", while that of "Maruyama Vaccine plus chemical drug" was a little less than 3% after 2 years and 6 months (about 900 days).

In advance to the official announcement, one of the biggest newspaper companies made a lot of coverage that "Effectiveness of Maruyama Vaccine was less than 3%", and emphasized that Maruyama Vaccine was ineffective.

The article appeared on December 6, 1980.

This incident was the result of malicious leakage of information.

In spite of the fact that anticancer drug and Maruyama Vaccine were used together, the banner headline was "Maruyama Vaccine" and "The sensation of 'Less than 3% effectiveness'".

And, in the beginning of the article, it says that the effectiveness of "Maruyama Vaccine by itself", which was NOT a correct statement, was only less than 3%.
There was no mention about the fact that the effectiveness of "anticancer drug by itself" was 0%.

With such background, medical doctor who has never used Maruyama Vaccine says with confidence that "Maruyama Vaccine is not effective".
