Catholic Action fellowship association, without arranging the Roman Missal promulgated by the Pope after Vatican Council II, have been promoting to realize the traditional Roman Catholic liturgy, beautiful "Solemn Mass", once per year. In order to realise that goal, 20 years have already past.

45 years have past since Vatican council II, Holy See has been taking necessary counter measures observing several issues, which occured especially in liturgical area. Holy See's action was clear to amend "over steered" actions into right direction in order to fit them into Vatican II's real intention. Year 2000 was turning point. Previous Papa, Pope John Paul II amended Missale Romanum. In year 2002, he signed on "Instutio Generalis Missalis Romani" (IGMR) (General Instruction of the Roman Missal) (GIRM) "Year for Rosarium", "Year for sacred body" have been followed. Pope J.P.II had stressed not only the importance of prayers but also liturgy. Current Pope Benedict XVI issued the appostolic constitution "Sacramentum Caritatis" followed by the Apostolicae Motu Proprio "Summorum Pontificum" in September 2007.


　However, in Japan, those important issues have not been informed properly from parish to parish, faithful to faithfuls. Not only bishops, parish priests but we faithfuls required to think and take necessary action in order to respond the intention of sucessor of St. Peter who represent our saviour Jesus Christ on the earth.

　In coming 20th Solemn Pontical mass, we celebrate "Missa for pope" with kind intersession of Bless Virgin Mary, all Catholics, at least, we Japanese, bishops, priests, seminarians and faithfuls celebrate and pray the prosperity of the Catholic Church, who is a bride of our Lord Jesus in unison under the flag of our pope.

Between second and third edition,
supreme pontif, J.P.II had slight amendment on general institution
according to the issue of Church law on 1983.
